Two small but picturesque waters set in the Galloway Forest Park just outside Newton Stewart. Quite a well known water but often flatters to deceive. A large head of mainly small pike and good size perch are the main quarry. However - recent years has seen the capture in increasing numbers of roach, rudd and hybrids.
Tench are present but not in large numbers. There is good access to the smaller of the two waters where a picnic table and car park exists. This water is managed by the Forestry Commission and day tickets are available at a number of outlets locally.
