Details
Visit Kirroughtree Visitor Centre for a fun day out for all the family. The friendly staff offer information on all forest facilities.

The welcoming tea room serves light meals & refreshments. There is also the chance to browse around the excellent gift shop for that special souvenir.

Walks and cycling trails are available for all abilities and there are waymarked walks and cycle routes including the exhilarating 7stanes mountain bike trails and our easy access trail around the pond.

An indoor forest classroom can be made available by arrangement for schools and groups.

The extended and improved adventure play area and picnic sites will appeal to the younger visitor.

  • Thursday 12 March - Sunday 5 July: 10.30am - 4.30pm
  • Monday 6 July - Sunday 6 September: 10.30am - 5.30pm
  • Monday 7 September - Sunday 1 November: 10.30am - 4.30pm
  • 7th November -13th December: Weekends only, 11.00am - 4.00pm
Directions

Kirroughtree Visitor Centre is in Galloway Forest Park. Newton Stewart and Creetown. is the nearest town or village.

From Newton Stewart: Take A75 signposted Dumfries for 3 miles. Turn left at Palnure signposted Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.

From New Galloway: Take A712 to Newton Stewart. Turn left at T-junction onto A75. Turn left at Palnure signposted Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.

By Bus: Service 431 from Newton Stewart to Kirkcudbright. Exit the bus at Palnure, a short walk from Kirroughtree Visitor Centre.
