Glenhowl Farm B&B is an elegant farmhouse dating back to the 17th century and is situated in the heart of the Glenkens area of Dumfries and Galloway; an area famous for its stunning scenery.

Four miles from St. Johns Town of Dalry, Glenhowl Farm B&B is a must for the outdoor enthusiast. The Southern Upland Way is literally 'on the doorstep' and cyclists, birdwatchers or keen anglers are all catered for. If a quiet break in idyllic surroundings is what you prefer, you certainly will not be disappointed. Other local outdoor activities include sailing on nearby Loch Ken and golf at the picturesque 9 hole course at New Galloway.

Glenhowl Farm B&B is beautifully furnished throughout and offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Guests have use of a large lounge with open log fire, where they can relax with a book and a coffee. If preferred, tea and coffee making facilities are available in the bedroom along with freeview television and a CD player. There is also a beautiful patio where guests can sit and admire the unspoilt scenery which surrounds Glenhowl Farm. Evening meals are available for guests if booked in advance.

Glenhowl is a working hill farm of Black Faced sheep and is home to the oldest herd of Galloway cattle in the world; so if guests are interested, there is always plenty to see - from lambing to harvest time. Guests may also be able to see a Barn Owl above the old steading as they have successfully bred at Glenhowl for many years.

St. Johns Town of Dalry offers the visitor a bank, two general stores, a post office, a SUW and tourist information centre, a pub and a hotel.  The charming market town of Castle Douglas is 18 miles to the south of Glenhowl and has many lovely boutiques and gift shops that are worth a visit. Glenhowl Farm B&B is also ideally situated for day trips to the Artists' Town of Kirkcudbright, Ayr or the region's capital, Dumfries.
