Details Craigrobin Cottage Craigrobin is a 4 Star Rated self-catering traditional Galloway cottage situated in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. It is set in 225 acres of Barmurrie Farm with its glorious walks, fabulous free range food, a pet's corner and trout fishing.   The beautifully decorated Cottage, opened in July 2009, sleeps 7 and has 3 large bedrooms, 2 en-suites, a family bathroom, large lounge with a wood burner and spacious kitchen and dining room. The kitchen facitlities also include a freezer and the cottage has a travel cot and high chair provided. Located in beautiful grounds our holiday home is approached by a private tree lined drive and has panoramic views over unspoiled landscape towards the Rhinns of Kells. The gardens consist of glorious herbaceous plants with a 'wee' burn running through it. Outdoors there are barbeque facilities where you can relax, dine and maybe sip the odd dram of whisky as you take in the stunning views and attractive gardens.   Craigrobin is ideally located near tourist attractions such as Cream o' Galloway and Castle Douglas as well as activities such as water skiing, mountain biking, horse riding, sailing, magnificent walks, fishing and golf. Apart from walks in the glorious countryside, Barmurrie Farm has a children's pet corner. Not only are there typical domestic animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, lambs, ponies but llamas, peacocks and ornamental ducks. Barmurrie Farm also has two duck ponds, trout ponds (permits available) and several breeding pairs of red kites. At the farm you can buy free range hen and duck eggs as well as free range chicken and pork.             Horse 'Bed and Breakfast' is available. Craigrobin Rooms and Exterior 'Redecorated Spring 2011'   NOTE: There is strictly NO smoking in any of the rooms. There is a kennel for one dog at Craigrobin which can go ONLY in the kitchen area - a larger number of dogs can be kenneled at the farm.   Our holiday cottage was decorated throughout and completely refurbished in Spring 2009. It sleeps up to 7 and has 3 large bedrooms, 2 en-suite, a family bathroom, large lounge with a wood burner and spacious kitchen and dining room. Mains supply smoke detectors are fitted. Upstairs there are varnished original floorboards throughout.   A special welcome pack of free range eggs, bacon, sausage and seasonal vegetables produced at Barmurrie Farm will greet every party.
