Cally Horse Route can be started off from the car park in Cally Wood which is contained within the Galloway Forest Park. Gatehouse of Fleet is the nearest town or village to this horse route.
From Newton Stewart: Leave Newton Stewart on the A75 heading towards Dumfries, turn left signposted Gatehouse of Fleet (19 miles). Straight through Gatehouse heading for the Cally Palace Hotel, turn right into the Cally Palace Hotel and the carpark is on the left.
From New Galloway: Take the A762 heading for Laurieston, from Laurieston take the Gatehouse road signposted Gatehouse of Fleet from Laurieston. Turn left at Gatehouse of Fleet heading for the Cally Palace hotel. Turn right into the Cally Palace hotel and the carpark is on the left.
