Bargrennan



l_accom_barg_hoh_ext.jpgBargrennan is a hamlet in Dumfries and Galloway. Bargrennan lies by the River Cree on the A714 road to Girvan, 9 miles (14 km) north west of Newton Stewart.

Between Bargrennan and Glentrool village is located the White Cairn, a chambered cairn dating from the 3rd Millenium B.C.

To the north east of Bargrennan is the Glentrool Forest, home to one of the world class 7Stanes mountain biking centres.

The Southern Upland Way runs through Bargrennan which is an accommodation location for the route.
